What is a Website Maintenance Plan (WMP)? The Website Maintenance Plan (WMP) is a detailed, completely customized plan to keep your website up-to-date. The WMP begins with an in-depth analysis that provides a solid foundation of research to support our recommendations. Our recommendations are based on what is best for our clients, what their competitors are doing and what their goals are for their company. The analysis maps out how we will update the website on a monthly basis. Taking into consideration the customer’s budget, goals and work to be done, we outline the recommended monthly work for the customer to approve. Monthly work can include writing blog posts, news articles, creating and maintaining a social media account or optimizing your website for search engines. Why are you offering the WMP? This new service was made available to our customers in May of 2009 as we began to see a need in our customers for assistance in maintaining their websites. The WMP has many facets, from maintaining social media accounts to search engine optimization to playing the role of a virtual Webmaster. This way, our customers can contract with Evolve Systems to update and maintain their website when they don’t have time to do it themselves. Why would I need a WMP? If you do not have someone dedicated to the up keep and maintenance of your company’s website you could be losing valuable business. People use websites to evaluate if a company is reputable, professional and worth investing in. Keep this in mind when you consider using Evolve Systems’ services to help you maintain your website in a professional manner. How much does it cost? After the analysis we will recommend a specific number of hours per month we believe would be most effective in accomplishing your goals for your website. The recommended hours will be line itemed to show you where the time will be used. Once we’ve created the recommendation we can tweak it to match your budget by adding or removing line items. The end result is a monthly plan that is specifically designed to meet your budget and we will work with you no matter what your budget is. How long is the WMP contract term? The initial contract term is six months, which is the minimum time we believe is needed to establish a solid foundation and be truly effective in our work on your site. After the initial term you can decide how long any subsequent terms should be. You may just want to hire us as your virtual webmaster during your busy season or when an employee is on an extended leave. Or, you may want us long term. Perhaps you’ve downsized, or shuffled responsibilities among staff members and you need us to step in for an undefined period of time.
